This is a 37-card scavenger hunt that is will teach students many interesting facts about one of earth's most devastating and frequently occurring natural disasters - earthquakes. While completing this hunt students will learn what causes earthquakes, where most earthquakes occur, what kind of weather earthquakes occur in most often, and more. To complete the hunt, students read a multiple-choice question. Then they read a passage that will help them answer the question. Students receive instant feedback on whether or not they chose the correct answer. The final card in the deck challenges students to write 3 interesting things they learned from the hunt. It can be used as a supplement to a study of natural disasters or earthquakes, as background information for a story, to practice reading informational text, or as an easy activity for a sub.
