Description: This deck was created for primary readers to work to improve their reading comprehension and fluency skills. This deck provides four short stories for students to practice responding to Wh- questions, moving the pictures for each event in order, and reading fluency. The Deck: - There are five cards for each story. Audio support is provided by clicking on speaker buttons. "Tab Navigation" can be used for the stories. Cards 7, 14, 21, and 28 are drag-and-drop activities that may need to be hidden for some students. - There are four story cards and a card to order pictures of story events. - Each card has a colorful picture & three sentences. The sentences are either simple, complex, or compound. There are up to 9 words in each. - There is a Wh- question with three answer choices. - The students will click one answer. - After each story, there is a card with four pictures. The students will put the pictures of the events in boxes labeled 1, 2, 3, and 4 and click "Submit." - The stories: Fall Leaves - Each card is part of a sequence of a tree changing colors. Raking Leaves - Each card is part of a sequence where a boy rakes leaves into a pile. The Leaf Pile - Each card shows an activity a boy does with a leaf pile. The Squirrel - Each card is part of a sequence of a squirrel gathering nuts for the winter. RL.1.1 Ask and answer questions about key details in a text.
