Cards involve 1-2 steps using addition or subtraction to determine the fraction. Two cards involve simplifying the fraction to get the answer. Each card is multiple choice. See example below: Selena is painting her fingernails. She paints her thumbs pink and the rest of her fingernails are painted yellow. What fraction of her fingernails are yellow? Simplify. This resource is set up like an escape room, where students have to get the answer correct to move on. They can try until they get it right. Be sure students do clue 10 last.
