Description: Keep the flames going for our camping friends! This interactive deck target /s/ in the middle position of words. Prompts are provided via pictures with written words. As the child swipes a log into the campfire, a new target word is revealed. Each log goes into the flames when it's placed over the fire. There are 30 words in this deck with 3 words per card. The final card is a celebration of a job well done as our camping friends enjoy their toasted marshmallows! For emerging readers, integrate phonemic awareness and decoding skills by instructing the child to sound out each word before providing assistance. For additional practice, instruct the child to produce each word in phrases and/or sentences. For best results, an SLP or caregiver should be present to cue for correct productions of the targeted sound.
