Description: DIRECTIONS: (1) Listen to the farm animal sound. Click the barn to "open the door" and see what is inside. Model mitigatable gestalts and provide pauses and opportunities for your student to produce their own gestalts. (2)The last page is simply a picture scene that your student can decorate and continue targeting gestalt skills. MITIGATABLE GESTALTS: -Mitigatable gestalt examples are provided on each page of the activity. If you'd like, you can click each mitigatable gestalt "button" after modeling it and then it will disappear. Remember, the gestalts listed are simply examples. -Most importantly, focus on your students' interests. Be creative. Use gestalts, lines from movies/shows, or songs you have heard your student use. Model gestalts without expectation. -Examples of verbal routines or songs you could model throughout this activity: Old MacDonald, the (animal) on the farm says "moo moo moo", or any children's song from YouTube or cartoon -Hyperlexia: The gestalts have been included on each page both as a reminder to the clinician of examples, but also the written form of the gestalt may support some hyperlexic students.
