Description: This is a fun deck to practice the liquid sounds /l/, /r/ with your students in various positions of words. You can have them use the sounds at the word, phrase, or sentence level if you want. You can provide a carrier phrase loaded by liquid sounds such as, "Look at the lazy _____ in the lawn" etc. Or have them generate their own carrier phrases. You can also target vocabulary and receptive/expressive language skills in mixed groups by having your students name all of the choices and have them describe their characteristics. Don't forget to have fun!! Words included: lock, leaf, ladybug, log, jellybeans, umbrella, angel, igloo, vulture, butterfly, violin, nail, bell, camel, rabbit, rainbow, rake, ring, harp, feather, pear, turtle, cherries, fairy.
