Description: Do your students struggle to learn prepositions? Mine sure do! That's why I created this boom deck to go with my popular “The On Book” (on the Teachers Pay Teachers site) These Boom Cards are for preschool, speech therapy groups, students with autism, non verbal students and special education learners. Spatial concepts can be tricky but they are so important to help our students learn to follow directions and build functional vocabulary. I find focusing on one concept intensely with many repetitions and in different environments really helps. • Presented on a white background to avoid confusion and distraction, these simple pictures encourage vocabulary development. Provides opportunities for multiple repetitions. A visual sentence strip at the bottom of each page allows students to follow along during group work. • This book is for preschool, speech therapy groups, students with autism, non verbal students and special education learners. • Before playing teach the concept of “on”. Show the symbol and provide examples • This can be used for groups of students with multiple goals: answering “where” questions, extending utterances, following directions. The task is varied to show the concept of "on" in different environments with different objects to help students understand that on can have different locations. The first 10 cards give two choices, student selects the image that shows "on", then they practice putting items "on".
