Description: Pretending, imagination, fantasy, reality, creativity, acting, and the idea of something pretend being "realistic" are all concepts covered in this comprehensive deck. It serves multiple purposes and has a lot of flexibility, allowing you to navigate easily from one section to another. First, It includes a story explaining what it means for something to be real and what it means to pretend. For example, it explains the difference between a sculpture of an item vs. the item itself. It then explains what fantasy is, going into simple explanations about how some things can be representations of real things (such as a drawing of a dog), and some things are representations of things that do not exist (such as dragons and vampires). After the story, there are some practice cards. The learner is encouraged to pretend to be different things or pretend to be doing different things. Knowledge checks follow these practice cards, in which the learner is asked to discriminate "real" vs "pretend" items, such as differentiating toy keys vs real keys; a drawing of an elephant vs a real elephant. Finally, the learners are shown a picture and are asked whether the pictured item could be real or if it is just fantasy (for example, one card shows a woman; another slide shows a genie). The main menu allows you to navigate from one area to the next and back with ease. This is a large deck, so you can target one area at a time easily.
