Description: Tic-Tac-Toe is a fun way to practice your words and play a strategy game. For my young students, I show them an example of how to win. I help them learn to block by letting them know when I get 2 in a row. I review all of the words with the student first, enlarging each picture (open pinch on the mouse pad) as we say them. Then, I have the student say the word, phrase or sentence before they can move their X or O. There are 3 boards for each sound (er, ar, or) with no repeating words. This is part of the "Fun with /r/ Bundle" at Dr. Scott. There are Matching Games, What's Missing? and Minimal Contrasts that address initial /r/ and vocalic /r/. A bunch of fun and engaging ways to work on the /r/ sound. See all of the speech and language decks and bundles at Dr. Scott.
