Description: Intermediate to advanced French students can learn about the history, traditions, activities and culture associated with la galette des rois. Practice reading comprehension skills and vocabulary acquisition on this fun winter cultural event. Students will read the conversation between an international student and a French classmate. Mayumi asks questions about la galette des rois and Léonie provides clear and organized answers. There are 5 reading passages in conversation format. After EACH passage, there are comprehension questions to help guide students in understanding. The questions include multiple choice with words or images and vrai/faux. There is a total of 23 questions. Students will see mostly present tense and some passé composé/imparfait, but there are some future conjugations and object pronouns.
