Description: This deck focuses on dimes. The first card is an introduction to dimes with audio instruction of a mini-lesson included. The remaining cards are sent to randomize for each play. Each card has a piggy bank with life-like and life-size dimes and pennies, audio directions, an amount of money to show in the piggy bank, and a tens and ones chart. Students are to move the correct amount of dimes by counting by tens to the piggy bank to show the number. Some of the slides have pennies in the bank and they are adding the dimes, or tens, to that amount. After moving the correct amount of dimes, the students will type the number of dimes they put by entering that number in the tens column, followed by the amount of pennies (if any) in the ones. This deck is not only great for critical life skills of working with and counting U.S currency, but is aligned with CCSS.2.MD.C.8, CCSS1.NBTC.5, and CCSS.K.MD.B.3.
