Description: In this 24 playing task card Boom Deck, students will learn about some of the parts of their brain: the prefrontal cortex, the hippocampus, and the amygdala. These parts have child friently terms such as the Wise Owl, Hippo The Librarian, The Scared Dog and the Excited Puppy. There are 7 cards that are informative, introductory, and closing. Students will learn about the 2 parts of the amygdala-the fear and reward centers, the prefrontal cortex and the hippocampus. Students will read/listen to different examples and decide which part of the brain is being activated/used for each situation.
