Description: Multiple Discrimination Cards: Step 2! Welcome to Lisneyland’s Multiple Discrimination program! These listener skills are important for all early learners. In this second deck in the series, learners will discriminate between a field of four objects: 2 of the same object name, 2 of the same color. Each field contains items that have at least one feature in common with two of the other pictures. For example, the array might include a red ball, yellow ball, red flower, and yellow flower. This forces the learner to listen to the entire sentence and discriminate BOTH color and object names in order to select the correct answer. Note: Prerequisites for this task include basic shapes, object names, and colors. Lisneyland's multiple discrimination series includes: Step 1: Discriminates both shapes and colors in an array of 4 Step 2: Discriminates both colors and object names in an array of 4 Step 2a: Discriminates both nouns and verbs in an array of 4 Step 2b: Discriminates subject, adjective, and nouns in an array of 4 Step 2c: Discriminates subject, verb, noun in an array of 4 Step 3: Discriminates subject, verb, noun, adjective, preposition in an array of 6 These decks can be done in order, which is recommended if the learner struggles with their listener skills or demonstrates immediate echolalia. *If you are looking for an assessment source, this second deck corresponds with the VB-Mapp Task Analysis Assessment Level 2, Listener Responding Items 8b, 10b, and 10c.
