Description

This deck review sol/mi or high/low pitches 3 ways. The first 6 cards can be used as flashcards or for assessment. There's no sound so you can have students sing whichever words you've learned. Sol/Mi, So/Mi, High/Low, etc. For the next 6 cards students listen for what pitch is last in the melody. Melodies are either 3 or 4 pitches long and played on a ukulele using a C string for low and G string for high (an interval of a 5th). Players drag the last bird to the box above the line if the last pitch is high or below the line for low. The first part of the melodies are shown. To hear the melody click the sun. Sound will not automatically play with each new card. You can also use this in class as an assessment tool. Listen to the melody and have 1 student at a time move the last bird to place or have all students give a thumbs up for high note and thumbs down for the low note. The last 6 cards are for students to compose their own melody and sing what's been "written". I have each student in a class place 1 bird. There's no right or wrong answer though it'll ding correct when you click "submit" to move to the next card. I pair this boom deck with the "Bluebird bluebird through my window" song game.
