This is an interactive speech and language activity. A playful gorilla has let all of the animals out of their cages—now it’s time to help sort them back to where they belong! In this activity, students will categorize animals into familiar groups: ocean, pets, jungle, and farm animals. Each animal is first presented as a GIF in its natural habitat (e.g., The horse is a farm animal). Then, students will: Drag and drop the animal into the correct category box Use a sentence strip to build simple sentences (e.g., A dog is a pet) Return the animal to its home (barn, house, ocean, shipwreck, or zoo cage) This structured, repetitive routine supports early learners while allowing for easy expansion. 🎯 Skills Targeted: Categorization WH-questions (what/where) Vocabulary development Sentence building / expanding utterances Following directions ✨ As with all of my resources, visual supports, AAC, and audio are embedded throughout. Perfect for early language learners, mixed groups, and both in-person or teletherapy sessions. This resource is part of a growing zoo bundle.
