Description
This set of 14 short selections, no-prep, high-interest task cards give students practice with text structure / author organization. Text structures included are cause and effect, proposition and support, compare and contrast, problem and solution, classification, chronological order, and sequential/ procedural order. The passages are written in various genres to help students practice text structure in non-fiction, procedural, argumentative, and literary non-fiction. The task cards are great for test prep, strategy groups, stations, and independent work. The first card in the deck includes a brief explanation of the text structures used in the cards to help refresh students' memories.
