Description
This activity targets the production of initial s-blends in English words. The image of the snake represents the /s/ speech sound and is used as a reminder to add /s/ before the given word to create a consonant blend. This activity uses real words of high-frequency and real images. This activity also provides recordings of accurate sound productions which can be used for modeling. I am a pediatric speech-language pathologist and I use this method to elicit s-blends in words.
