Engage your students at this end of the year with this 'Trapped in the Classroom' breakout Boom Cards™ deck. They will use their knowledge of addition within 1000, subtraction of 2-digit numbers without borrowing, place value of 3-digit and 4-digit numbers, multiplication of 7-8-9 facts, and all 4 basic operations in word problems, including 2-step problems and problems with multiplying with multiples of 10. The tasks are as follows: ➤ Addition within 1000 with regrouping Students will solve addition problems by decoding their addend using a provided key. ➤ Place value of 3-digit numbers Students are given 3 clues to figure out their 3-digit numbers on each card. The clues cover all 4 basic operations. As they do, they will 'color in' a picture of books. ➤ Multiplication 7-8-9 facts Students will have to choose the correct product for their multiplication fact. As they do, they will 'uncover' a picture of a book corner/library section. ➤ Place value of 4-digit numbers Students will see a 4-digit number in expanded form on each card. They have to choose the corresponding numeral form out of 4 possible choices. ➤ Word Problems Students will have to solve 8 different word problems. The problems are school related. The whole equation needs to be added NOT just the answer. ➤ Subtraction Students will have to subtract a 2-digit number from another 2 digit number to get their breakout codes.
