Description: Students are presented with a snowman, a winter house, a winter tree with snow and an igloo. Students are first asked to follow simple1-step directions with spatial concepts (e.g. on, on top, in front, under, above, below, between, next to). After, students are asked "where" questions such as "where is the snowman"and provided with a sentence starter containing 3 empty spaces to help students expand their utterances as they answer the where questions. For example, students are presented with the sentence starter (the ___ is ___ the ___). Students are provided with a picture of a snowman in front of the winter house and asked "where is the snowman." Students are given 2 visual choices per blank box to help them drag and drop the correct item into the correct place of the sentence starter. Students are able to form sentences such as "the snowman is in front of the house" or the "snowman is under the tree." This helps students work on spatial concepts as well.
