This Winter Holiday Would You Rather resource promotes interactions and discussions with students in small group to whole class settings around the winter holidays, bringing in some discussions around life skills. It includes a number of ways to increase student engagement, starting with the question itself (questions that are fun to talk about, opinion-related, and help stir discussion. Our students have so many interests, strengths, and things they want to talk about – this resource helps give students a platform and structure to share what they like and don’t like. IDEAS FOR USE: 1:1, independent work, small group, whole class + 1:1/independent work: Student will type in the box at the bottom (under each photo) which option they prefer. + For group activity: teacher shares their screen, type in the total tallies or student names depending on size of the group.
