Description: Help your students learn 26 vocabulary words about the Indus River Valley Civilization of Ancient India with this deck. Each card has one word about the geography, history, people, and places of this 4,000 year old ancient river civilization in India and Pakistan. There is one word for each letter of the English alphabet. (For the letter "X," it is the 2nd letter in the target word and is bolded on the cards.) There are 2 sets of cards in this deck; both sets include the same 26 words: * Set 1 = Cards with a picture illustrating a word and 3 possible answers to choose from * Set 2 = Cards with the definition of a word and 3 possible answers to choose from The first card in the deck tells students what to do and includes a list of the vocabulary words. Students can click on the audio icon to hear the directions and word list read out loud. Students then click on the arrow icon to go to the next card, where they select either Set 1 or Set 2 to do. When students finish a set, they see another card and click a button that sends them back to the menu where they can choose to do the other set, if desired. The cards are self-correcting and students cannot move on to the next card until they click on the correct word that matches the picture or definition on the card. In Set 2, students can click on the audio icon to hear the definitions read aloud.
