Description
Students will uncover pieces of the puzzle one at a time to reveal a mystery picture as they practice correctly using the commonly confused homophones "there, their" and "they're" with context clues. Students will see an informational sentence (about the mystery image) with a blank. They will determine the correct word (their, there or they're) using context clues. Once they click the correct word, the card will advance and one piece of the puzzle will be revealed. Students will additionally use context clues from the text and the picture to try and determine what the mystery picture is. Final image reveal is an image of two turtles in an aquatic habitat. L.4.1 Demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking. g. Correctly use frequently confused words (e.g., to, too, two; there, their).
