Description: This activity is meant to be NEURODIVERSITY AFFIRMING. It should be used under the guided instruction of an adult, teacher or therapist. This activity is meant to facilitate conversations with students who might benefit from supports or accommodations in school or in the community. Use this activity to help build SELF-ADVOCACY skills. Make INFERENCES about what you might experience (see/feel/smell/hear) in each given scenario. DISCUSS what accommodations or environmental supports might work well for you, and how you can advocate for yourself. The examples provided are only meant to guide discussion. These examples are not exhaustive and do not work for every student.
