Description: Students will follow simple 1-step instructions to decorate a gingerbread cookie. On the first card ask students to choose a boy or girl cookie base. Then on each card students will be asked to add an item onto their cookie. Most instructions include a color concept in them (e.g. put the red buttons on the gingerbread man). Each card has a hidden sentence starter that can be pulled out to be used as needed. There are 11 items to put on each gingerbread cookie. Gingerbread boy parts: face, nose, earmuffs, buttons, hat, tie, collar, gumdrop mittens, shoes, a heart, and a candy cane. Gingerbread girl parts: face, nose, earmuffs, buttons, hat, scarf, bow, gumdrop mittens, shoes, a heart, and a candy cane.
