This deck is designed for students having difficulty with receptive language and reading comprehension, especially with longer and more complex or compound sentences. Great for speech/language therapy & teletherapy! It allows for repetition by providing 4 cards with different vocabulary tasks for each conjunction, providing a scaffold to support learning. Conjunctions taught: after, although, as, because, before, if, once, since, though, unless, until, when, where, while, for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so. To play: On the first card, students choose correct sentences using conjunctions, the second card involves building sentences using the target conjunction, the third card requires the student to complete sentences involving the target conjunction, and on the fourth card the student must choose the meaning (given 4 definitions) of the conjunction. Real pictures are used to aid understanding.
