Description
This is a 25-card Veterans Day Scavenger Hunt that will teach students about this day and the traditions associated with it. While completing the hunt, students will learn the history behind the day, changes it has gone through, and interesting facts about U. S. veterans. To complete the hunt, students are presented with a question with some possible answers. Then they read a passage where the information can be found. They receive instant feedback on whether or not they chose the correct answer. The final card in the deck challenges students to write 3 interesting things they learned from the hunt. It is a good activity for Veterans Day, a reading/social studies lesson or center and can also be used as an easy lesson for a sub.
