You'll LOVE counting tens and ones in this Valentine's deck. Students will use the ten frames to count how many hearts there are. After counting how many, they will find the total on a heart. Students will work on numbers to 99 in this deck. It is important for students to understand that tens and ones can be represented in other ways than just base 10 blocks. Tens frames are a perfect way for them to practice understanding place value in a different way. Students will enjoy playing this game whole group on an interactive board or they can play it independently as a math center.
