This interactive deck calls on Santa's Helpers to fill his bag with gifts while targeting /s/ in the final position of words,. Prompts are provided via pictures with written words. As the child swipes the gift into Santa's bag, a new target word is revealed. Each gift disappears when it's placed over the bag. There are 18 words in this deck with 3 words per card. The final card is a celebration of a job well done as the bag is filled with gifts! For emerging readers, integrate phonemic awareness and decoding skills by instructing the child to sound out each word before providing assistance. For additional practice, instruct the child to produce each word in phrases and/or sentences. For best results, an SLP or caregiver should be present to cue for correct productions of the targeted sound.
