Description: Your students will identify characters and settings while practicing reading comprehension. Audio support is provided, as well as "Tab Navigation." Each of the twenty slides is part of a Christmas story about elves and children preparing for Christmas. Your students will see a large, colorful picture on each slide. They will read or listen to the text for that part of the story. It will go along with the picture. Then, they will identify either the character or setting for the card. They will be asked to identify the character or setting and then click on one of three answer choices to respond. This is a practice activity. Character and setting identification would need to be taught prior to use. RL.1.3 Describe characters, settings, and major events in a story, using key details.
