This deck utilizes nonstandard measurement using cubes to introduce the student to measuring. The individual cards each contain photos of 1 winter item and a quantity of blocks which the student will stack or align to measure the item. After stacking the blocks, the student should type in the number. After pressing 'submit,' the page will flip to the next if it is correct. This is a fun activity to get students interested in early math. All 20 winter items will be measured using 1 to 10 blocks. Not only is measurement and counting targeted, the photos also reinforce thematic vocabulary. Have fun using this as an individual or group activity (with turn taking) or as a transition, exit ticket or filler activity. Happy Winter! This deck uses photos. There is an alternative deck in the store using ClipArt. Also, check out my other Winter and photo decks!
