Description

Aligns with CCSS 4.5.c Demonstrate understanding of words by relating them to their opposites (antonyms) and to words with similar but not identical meanings (synonyms). This winter themed deck asks students to read a sentence and fill in the blank with the correct synonym such as "big/huge," "begin/start," "cold/freezing." After every couple of correct answers, students get to build a piece of a snowman. Very motivating!
