Description: Students are presented with a gingerbread man, different rooms in the house and different places such as a pet store, dentist, post office, farm, pizza place, classroom and garage. Students are first asked to follow directions with spatial concepts (e.g. on, on top, in front, behind, under, above, below, between, next to). Students are asked to follow 1-step directions with the following spatial concepts: - in front - behind - on top - above - below - under - next to - between Some of the following IEP goals can be targeted during this activity: - Following Directions with basic concepts (e.g. spatial concepts) - Identifying and labeling Basic concepts (e.g. Spatial Concepts) - Where Questions (e.g. ask where is the gingerbread man after the student follows 1-step directions with spatial concepts).
