Description: Math centers are still possible virtually! Students can have fun manipulating the virtual unifix cubes as a nonstandard unit of measurement to measure the height or length of objects. Students take the cubes from the jar and line them up along the line to measure each object from end to end. Some students may naturally estimate, while others will attend to precision. Either way, students are developing critical measurement skills as well as logic and spatial thinking in this fun, interactive deck. The first card in the deck has an overview of what non-standard measurement is and how we use it as well as the directions. The remaining 12 cards are set to be in random order each time this deck is played. A pre-recorded audio question is on every card.
