Description: These Boom Cards™ will help your students with reading comprehension by answering Who? What? and Where? questions in this 36 card deck. Students click on the speaker icon to have the directions read to them, "Read the story and answer the question." The directions are the same for all 36 cards. Students will read each story and question independently. The stories, questions, and choices are NOT read aloud to the student. Students should use picture clues provided to help students figure out (decode) words in the stories. This deck has 12 different stories. Each story has three questions with only one question per card. The same story is on 3 consecutive cards with each card having a Who? What? or Where? question about the story. The cards in this deck are not randomized so that the same story is on 3 consecutive cards. Students will choose from four multiple choice answers by selecting the correct answer from the story. Students should look back in the story to find the answer (finding the evidence in the text). Answer choices include phrases. Correct answers are rewarded with a bell sound which automatically advances students to the next card. Incorrect answers hear “whoops” and students must keep trying until the correct answer is chosen. There are 36 cards in this deck of self-checking cards. This deck of cards is great for center time, early finishers, homework, distance learning, and so much more!
