It is the day you’ve been waiting for weeks. Finally, the day of ‘candy stocking’ is here. You’ve already made plans with your friends where you are going to go today to get the most out of ‘trick-or-treating.’ It is time to get ready and enjoy an evening of fun and excitement. BUT… when you go to your closet, you only find a note from your math teacher mom… Engage your 3rd graders this Halloween time with this 'Trapped at home' breakout deck. They will use their knowledge about number patterns, addition and subtraction within 1000, multiplication and division facts, two-step word problems for addition and subtraction, and multiplication and division word problems. The tasks are as follows: ➤ Number patterns Students will determine the gap and fill in 3 missing numbers in each grid ➤ Add and subtract 3-digit numbers Students will decode two 3-digit numbers on each card using the key provided. Additions have regrouping ➤ Multiplication and division facts Students will write their answer to a fact on each card ➤ Word Problems (2 tasks) Students will have to solve 5 different word problems each task. The problems are Halloween related. Students only need to write the answers to their problems.
