Description: This is a 33-card Thanksgiving Day Scavenger Hunt that will teach students about the holiday and its traditions. While completing the hunt, students will learn the history behind the day, which eating utensil was not available at the meal, how long the first celebration lasted, and other interesting facts. To complete the hunt, students are presented with a question with some possible answers. Then they read a passage where the information can be found. They receive instant feedback on whether or not they chose the correct answer. The final card in the deck challenges students to write 3 interesting things they learned from the hunt. It is a good activity for Thanksgiving, a reading/social studies center, and can also be used as an easy lesson for a sub.
