Description
This fall leaves themed, drag-and-drop activity is a fun and engaging way to introduce your students to the representing addition with number sentences. The deck contains 20 cards. On each card, students are tasked with counting the leaves on each of two ten frames. Students then drag and drop the colorful, leaf-shaped number tiles from the tree into the boxes near the bottom of the card to build a number sentence that matches the ten frames. Written and audio options for every set of directions are provided on each card. This activity supports the following standard: CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.K.OA.A.1 Represent addition and subtraction with objects, fingers, mental images, drawings1, sounds (e.g., claps), acting out situations, verbal explanations, expressions, or equations.
