Metaphor or Simile? Short Paragraph Comprehension is a deck designed to introduce the concepts of figurative language within short, 3-5 sentence paragraphs written on a mid-elementary level. In addition to students identifying and isolating the figurative language, they are tasked with answering a multiple choice inferential WH question after each passage that assesses their ability to draw conclusions and make connections. Included in this expansion set are 10 passage featuring 10 inferential WHY questions following each passage.
