Description: Learn to Read in Spanish is the fifth lesson for the K-1 students who speak Spanish but do not read in Spanish yet. It is imperative to teach students whose dominant language is Spanish, how to read in Spanish. Many children who don't learn how to read in their native language struggle with reading for many years. Students who are literate in their native language learn to read English quicker than those who are not. Students learn how to read in Spanish by first memorizing the syllables the letters make. Spanish is an entirely phonetic language, and it is elementary to learn to read. Most students can learn to read if provided with the instruction. Unfortunately, many students who come to school with Interrupted Education do not have a teacher who has the time and ability to teach them to read in their native language. The complete Learn to Read in Spanish lessons I, II, III, IV, and V will provide the experiences a student who can not read in Spanish needs. In this lesson, I cover the syllables with ll, h, c,g, z, ll, and ñ.
