This 15-card Simplifying Algebraic Expressions deck targets the following competencies: (1) applying the distributive property of multiplication over addition and subtraction; (2) identifying like terms; (3) combining like terms using the rules of addition/subtraction of signed numbers; (4) writing polynomials in standard form; and (5) multiplying whole numbers by fractions, for cards 11-15. This is a type-in play, no answer choices are given. This deck uses whole number values below 50. Cards 1-5 : single-variable expressions, 2 to 5 operands Cards 6-10: two variable expressions, 4 to 6 operands Cards 11-15: one to two-variable expressions, 3 to 6 operands, with fractions Cards are arranged in increasing difficulty and will appear in the same order each play.
