Description: With the aim to increase Mean Length of Utterance (MLU), these cards incorporate clipart images, visual supports, sound & labels, facilitating comprehension and learning for autistic & special needs students and early language learners. Using the carrier phrase 'I see', students are introduced to adjective + noun sentences, prompting them to describe objects beyond basic labels. Initially, the student will generate two-word phrases. Then, they will construct complete sentences using these two-word phrases, providing them with a comprehensive understanding of how these phrases function within entire sentences. Features: Initial Phrase Building (cards 2-12): Students begin building phrases using an attribute (color), by selecting the right color and noun (Spring item) to build a two-word phrase, employing visual supports, labels & audio to reinforce understanding. Interactive Sentence Structure Visualization (card 13): An interactive diagram that illustrates the building blocks of sentences. It includes a mix of visuals, audio and text to help students grasp the concepts more easily. Sentence Construction Practice (cards 14-21): Moving beyond phrases, students progress to formulating complete sentences by adding an attribute (color) and noun (Spring item) to the end of a carrier phrase ('I see').
