This deck of cards is part of an Area Model collection. This is the introduction to the area model where students are guided based on color where to place their numbers. Students have access to a multiplication table for accommodations as well as counters to assist with counting. Cards are ideal for teaching the area model, independent practice, and assessment. Students not only practice the area model steps on the computer but they are also practicing the steps they would follow when working on the problems the traditional way with a paper and pencil. These cads feature a grid like pattern so that students can begin to get accustomed to using graph paper when organizing their math computations.
