Description: This interactive Vocabulary enrichment activity focuses on mastering common homophones, and honing skills in identifying homonyms. Through engaging exercises, students tackle Ambiguity in sentences by identifying multiple meaning words, fostering correct Sentence development and proofreading skills. Homophones (Multiple meaning Words that sound the same yet, spelled differently and have separate meanings) are tricky for students and often plague their work with mistakes. Your students will receive 50 cards which consist of 25 fill in the blank cards which will ask them to identify the error and correct it , as well as 25 drag and drop “clue cards” . Use this card as a warm up and watch those pesky errors disappear! I suggest running the deck as a group lesson and then assigning for HW to assess the skill. The cards work well with older students (Grades 6-10) or best when used with students who have mild cognitive delays yet good language skills.
