Which elf has earned the Head Elf award for this year? You can find out by counting using a tens frames and solving addition and subtraction equations within 10. Ten count the elves in the tens frame and type the number cards, 10 drag a given number of elves to the tens frame cards, 10 picture addition and 5 subtraction cards within 10. To subtract, students just need to click an elf to make it disappear, click it again and it will reappear. Students will start by clicking the head elf award on the grid .They need to to solve 5 equations correctly. Students will then follow the directions on the top of the map grid page to move the award to a space on the grid. Students will then answer 5 more questions and the next map grid page appears with the next set of directions. Students must move the award to the correct space on the grid to move forward. Continue until the award lands on one of the elves- (7 map grids -5 questions per map grid). Map directions are up, down, left, and right.
