Description: This deck will help 1st and 2nd-grade students develop vocabulary and background knowledge about winter. The deck provides audio support, alt text, and real photos to help students gain a better understanding. The Deck: - There are 30 cards in the deck. There are two sets. Each has recorded directions. - Set 1 - Each card has one or more pictures of the word or concept, information or a definition, a Wh- question, and three answer choices. The information, questions, and answer choices are recorded. The students will click on one of the three answer choices. Set 2 - The students will practice using the vocabulary words. They will read or listen to a sentence. The sentence will have a missing word. The word will be a vocabulary word. They will click on the missing vocabulary word. RI.1.4 Ask and answer questions to help determine or clarify the meaning of words and phrases in a text.
