Social norms and rules are important for developing social skills and making friends. In this SET 2 deck, 20 unspoken social rules are addressed - each different than the 20 unspoken rules mentioned in set 1 of this series. For each, the rule is stated and then the student is asked to make a comment about the rule or answer a question. It's a wonderful resource to encourage discussion. In this activity, students will have opportunities to discuss social rules about table manners, active listening, body language, sensitive topics, participating in group projects, offering seat on a bus, waiting for others to exit before entering elevators or buses, social media responsibilities, texting considerations, opening doors, thank you messages, pushing in chairs at the table, standing in a line, discreetly sharing potentially embarrassing information, knocking if doors are closed.
