This 51-card scavenger hunt will teach your students interesting facts about the lizard reptile family. While completing the hunt, students will learn what lizards are dangerous to humans, why the Green Basilisk Lizard is called the Jesus Christ Lizard, how lizards communicate, different ways they protect themselves from predators, and more. To complete the hunt, students answer 25 multiple choice questions. First, they read a question and its answer choices. Then they read a short passage where the answer is found. The final card in the deck challenges students to write 3 interesting things they learned from the hunt. This is a great supplement to add to a study of reptiles, to provide background information for a story, to have students practice reading informational text, to use as a reading or science center, or as an easy activity for a sub.
