Thirty self-checking cards. Read the price, look at the bills the student handed over, then choose the correct change. Prices run from 32 cents up to $89.30 and the bills go from $1 to $100, so one deck covers a wide range in a mixed group. 4 levels included! Level 1 is whole dollars with three choices, and two of those cards ask which bill was handed over instead. Levels 2, 3 and 4 add cents and bigger purchases, with four choices on every card. On Levels 2 to 4 the wrong answers are the mistakes students actually make. Most are place value slips like $3.31 for $3.13, and each card also offers one answer a unit short and one a unit over, so a missed card tells you something.
