Simple analog to digital telling time practice, to five minutes. Not one of the times sits on a quarter hour, so a student has to skip count by fives instead of falling back on quarter past and half past. The dial has the minute numbers around the outside, 5 through 60, so a student can find the nearest one and count on from there. The short orange hour hand and the long navy minute hand are labeled on every card. Three kinds of wrong answer, and each one names a different mistake. Five minutes either side is a count that slipped. The hour either side is a short hand read as the numeral it is heading toward. And on most cards there is the time you would get with the two hands swapped, which is the mistake students keep making long after they can name the hands. A missed card tells you which one it was. This is the third of a four deck set that runs from the hour to the single minute. Made for middle school, high school, and transition classrooms. Prefer paper?
