Description
Help students strengthen their understanding of reported speech by transforming direct speech into reported speech. The 33 cards in this deck provides focused practice with verb tense backshifting (simple, continuous, perfect), modal verbs (will, can, may, should), time and place expressions (today, yesterday, tomorrow, here, this), reported questions, imperatives, and other common changes in reported speech. The cards are intentionally arranged from simpler transformations to more challenging combinations of rules. Teachers can play the deck in sequence for guided instruction and progressive practice, or use randomized gameplay for independent practice and assessment.
